If you think the Autobots and Decepticons are the stars of Transformers: Age of Extinction, think again. If this new poster for Paramount's summer blockbuster is any indication, the man of the hour is Marky Mark himself, Mark Wahlberg.
Oh, and some bitchin' sword/gun thingy. Check it:
Pretty scopin' yes? The sword/gun thingy that is. I could give two shits if Wahlberg is in this flick or not. No disrespect, but this is a Transformers movie. The people in it matter not at all.
And I'm pretty sure there's gonna be a lot of robot-vs-robot combat in the movie, which opens June 27, so fans of such things need not fear. Given director Michael Bay's track record, we'll get what we pay for.
That said, I'm glad Wahlberg is on board. He can act, he can do the action thing, and he's no Shia Labeouf -- which is good. People might not matter in a movie like this, but at least Bay's cast someone with talent.
A mechanic and his daughter make a discovery that brings Autobots and Decepticons -- and a paranoid government official -- down on them. That's what the new Transformers is about, by the way.
