And his name is John Harrison! Yup. John Harrison. As played by the great Benedict Cumberbatch of BBC's Sherlock fame.
Just who is John Harrison? He was suffocated to death on the bridge of the Enterprise by none other than unfrozen superman Khan Noonien Singh in the original series episode Space Seed. Khan, of course, was played by the great Ricardo Montalban, who had a thing or two for corinthian leather.
Cumberbatch's John Harrison is the dude standing between Zachary Quinto as Spock and Chris Pine as James T. Kirk in the above pic.
Well, now we know who the villain of Star Trek Into Darkness is. If you want to learn/see more, check out The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey on Friday as the first nine minutes of the sci-fi sequel play in front of it. The film itself hits theatres May 17.
Thanks to Ain't It Cool News for the skinny.

What? Is the THAT pissed that Khan killed him in an alternate timeline that he decides to DESTROY everything? Man, someone needs a hug, big time!
ReplyDeleteWho knows man. Skies the limit here :)
ReplyDeleteBut I reckon they are smarter than that. It's the Harrison from the alternate timeline.
